Bird Dangles for Cathy

    • This was one of our favorite renovation projects so far because we got to work with such a beautifully crafted original piece. 

    Cathy loved the sentimentality of this family brooch but never wore it. Comfortable dangles are a key element of her everyday wardrobe so we adapted the piece to work for her. 

    We carefully separated the brooch into segments and soldered on 18kt gold wires. In order to solder the piece we first had to remove the pearls as not to damage them, but we made sure to glue them back in at exactly the same fit. 

    She is keeping one of the sets and will gift the second set to another member of her family.
