Description

A commemorative bronze coin struck by Constantine the Great, circa 330 AD. These coins were made to reaffirm Rome as the centre of the empire. They show the city’s goddess ‘Roma’ on one side, wearing a helmet and war gear, and Romulus and Remus on the reverse, suckling from the She-Wolf. We love the patina on this coin and think this will look so beautiful encased in a contrasting gold frame!
