We are experts at helping you rediscover your jewelry.

How does jewelry renovation work?

We typically start with a brief phone consultation so we can dedicate time to discuss all of the details of your project with you. After you book in for a consultation, you will be prompted to upload a few photos of your materials ahead of our consultation call.

Then, we will send along a proposal with designs, pricing, and descriptions for you to review. Once you have selected your designs, you can drop your materials off at our Flatiron NYC studio, or we will provide an insured FedEx label and specific shipping instructions if you aren't in the area.

It takes us about three to four months to carefully renovate your jewelry in our studio.

Custom fine jewelry production

Jewelry renovation is our sole focus. We have designed our entire process around working with unique heirloom materials. While the vast majority of jewelry is made with calibrated gemstones that are all the same dimensions, we are tooled to work with your unique and unpredictable materials. Each piece we produce is made to the exact specifications of your gemstones. This means we are never trying to fit your stones into a pre-made setting that is an imperfect fit. As a result, your gemstones and diamonds will look their absolute best in your new jewelry.

Our one of a kind in-house production studio can accommodate very nuanced processes such as working with your heirloom gold, or unconventional materials.

It's an honor to work with your precious heirlooms!

Recycling is fundamental.

The craft of fine jewelry making is an experiment in reducing, re-using, and recycling by nature. The components that make up fine jewelry are inherently re-usable. Their tremendously high value discourages their waste. By re-working the jewelry you don't wear into your new favorites, we're able to capture both the material and sentimental value that's already in your jewelry box right now.

We're deeply invested in ethical sourcing and can customize any design to reflect your personal choices.

Jewelry Renovation FAQs

How do I get started?

We typically begin with a phone consultation to talk about your jewelry and your style. We'll review photos of your jewelry and brainstorm about what new pieces we could create from your materials for you to enjoy everyday. There is no cost for the consultation. After your consultation, we'll send you a proposal with complete designs, descriptions, and pricing for what we would recommend!

What does it cost to renovate jewelry?

We price each custom project individually and present complete pricing with our proposals. Costs vary depending on the type of piece, labor, complexity, and materials involved in your project.

Many of our projects are in the $1500-$6000 range. We have beautiful design concepts under $1500 if you are open to suggestions. We can apply the value of any extra gold or platinum from your original materials towards the cost of your project.

Can I use my own gold to create new jewelry?

Yes! It depends a bit on the design you select, but we can typically melt and alloy your gold to use in your project. We reserve this very specialized offering for projects where the gold itself is extremely sentimental.

Alternatively, our typical process is to group recycle your gold with gold from our other clients and offer you a credit towards your invoice.
