A Bit About Jade

Jade has a rich history and deep cultural significance, especially in Asian and Central American cultures. Each jade color and shape carries its own unique spiritual meaning.

The subtle quality of jade creates a unique design opportunity for us to play with contrast using bright diamonds or deeply saturated colored gemstones. As jade is a softer gemstone, we tend to set it in more protective setting styles, or off of the hands in earrings and necklaces.

There are actually two distinct minerals that are both referred to as "jade" - jadeite and nephrite. While they share many visual qualities, they have different chemical compositions, historical uses, and geographic origins.
