Having a July birthday, Melissa received ruby jewelry throughout her life from family and friends. (Yes, I'm continuing my birthstone renovations theme!) She frequently switches her necklaces out and loved the idea of creating an occasion worthy piece that brought this collection of stones together. Using the tiny rubies from her cluster hoops as well as a larger stone from a pendant, we created a ruby collar that is bold and dressy enough for more formal events, while still feeling light and delicate enough to layer with her other necklaces for everyday wear. ⁠
