Mikiko's star ruby ring was passed down to her by her mom from her great-grandmother. It was set incredibly high off the hand and didn't fit her style, but she wanted to find a way to enjoy it. We reset the gemstone East-West in a geometric plaque style ring. Delicately engraved millegrain lightly echos the ornate decoration of the original setting. Star gemstones are so special and it was an absolute pleasure to work on this piece.
