Throughout history, jewelry has acted as a talisman for all sorts of memories and emotions - the most joyful and the most sorrowful. In the midst of a profound loss she experienced during the pandemic, Marie found herself returning to a beach where her family often goes, taking walks and collecting shells, a practice which brought her great warmth and respite.
She brought us a collection of these shells, wanting to create a bracelet to wear on her right wrist as a way to help ground her and keep her connected to this important place in her life. We carefully selected and cut down each shell using traditional lapidary techniques and set them in rounded, soft bezels. Marie's phrase, "the most loving thing," is engraved on the underside across the bezels as a private message to herself.

”I feel so profoundly grateful to have been able to work with you to bring this vision to life. I wear it every day, I love to run my fingers over it and connect with all that it represents. Thank you for holding this process with so much care and making such a gorgeous peice. ❤️❤️❤️.” - Marie
