Repurposing a Canary Diamond Pendant into a Custom Wavy Bar Necklace
Michele had a beautiful yellow diamond that she loved, but felt got lost in its existing classic pendant setting. She asked us for a redesign that would wow, and I have to say we delivered.
The radiant cut diamond is set in 18k yellow gold claw prongs (reflecting additional warmth into the diamond) and nestled into a dramatic swooping platinum wavy bar. Petite diamonds from Michele's collection are snow pavé set all over the surface of the platinum, creating sparkle from every angle. A few diamonds are scattered asymmetrically throughout the chain.
This is one of our favorite kinds of heirloom jewelry redesign projects, transforming a stunning yellow diamond with in a setting that matches its presence and beauty. The finished necklace is the kind showstopper we couldn't stop passing around the studio.
