Our studio is uniquely tooled to melt and refine your family gold.
Your sentimental family gold can become the jewelry you enjoy and treasure daily. We are now offering a selection of our favorite timeless designs that we have come back to again and again over the years, crafted using your own gold. Unlike traditional gold recycling, your sentimental material is processed individually for your project. We refine and then then alloy your gold specifically for your new piece.

PROCESS
Working with heirloom gold is a very specialized process and we are so honored to be able to help preserve sentimental gold for your wedding bands. In our studio we will carefully weigh, test, and document your gold. Then select the ideal pieces to melt for your piece. If you'd like to have a video of your gold being melted please let us know!
Can you use my actual gold?
Yes! Depending on your materials, we can make suggestions for the best sections or portions of your gold to use for each piece. We are happy to document the melting process in our studio, to document honoring your family history in your beautiful new jewelry.
What if I don't have the right amount of gold?
Not enough? We can add in-house gold to supplement the gold you send and adjust the pricing accordingly. It's no problem!
Too much? We can either credit you for the rest of the gold or return it to you with your completed charm. Up to you!
What kinds of gold can be melted for jewelry?
Plain gold bands, ingots, and pure gold coins are ideal for melting because they tend to contain few impurities. Most fine jewelry in 14k, 18k, 22k, or 24k can be worked with, though we may need to remove small sections of solder in some cases. Chain is not ideal because typically there are too many solder points. When you place your order, we can review the gold you'd like to use and help you to assess which items are best.
Can you make this piece without heirloom gold?
Yes! We can provide gold for this piece. Please let us know when you place your order and we can adjust your pricing accordingly.
