Description
A Roman silver coin dating to ~127BC. The heads side is the helmeted head of Roma, the personification of the city of Rome. The reverse has a beautiful graphic shield with a small abstracted elephant head around a laurel wreath. We loved the details of her helmet most of all.
This coin is about the size of a dime. It would look equally beautiful with the heads or tails side facing up.
